What is Pupil Premium?

Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the government to help schools improve educational outcomes for disadvantaged pupils. It is allocated to support children who:

• are eligible for free school meals

• are looked-after or previously looked-after

• have parents currently serving in the armed forces

Schools use this funding to remove barriers to learning, provide targeted support, and enhance opportunities for pupils who may need additional help.

Our School Status

The Pennine is not yet open and therefore has not received any Pupil Premium funding. Once the school is registered and pupils are enrolled, we will publish:

• our Pupil Premium strategy

• how we plan to use the funding

• the impact of our provision

These documents will be updated annually, in line with Department for Education requirements.
