Welcome to Year 11

Year 11 at Pennine School supports pupils aged 15–16 as they complete their compulsory education and prepare for their next steps. This year group focuses on consolidation of learning, achievement of appropriate qualifications and careful planning for progression beyond Year 11.

Pupils are supported in a calm, structured and nurturing environment that recognises individual strengths, needs and aspirations.

Emotional wellbeing and safeguarding remain central to daily practice. Pupils continue to be supported by a consistent staff team who understand their individual needs and experiences.

Individual targets are reviewed regularly, with additional support provided during this important stage of education.

Next Steps

By the end of Year 11, pupils are supported to move on to appropriate next steps that reflect their aspirations, strengths and needs. The emphasis is on positive destinations and sustained success beyond Pennine School.
